Robert E. Reid, P. Geo., has reported to the Board of Directors of International Wayside Gold Mines Ltd. (the Company) on a preliminary mineral resource calculation on a portion of the BC Vein at the Cariboo Gold Project near Wells, British Columbia. The resource calculation is on the 760 foot section between the BC Shaft and the Goldfinch Fault gap, and the portion of the American extension to a vertical depth of roughly 120 feet from surface tested to date (see map enclosure). The 760 foot section only represents 25 % of the surface exposure of the BC Vein. The resource is calculated using weighted block averages around intercepts of greater than 0.1 oz/per ton Au. and using the Cariboo Gold Quartz Mine factor of 12 cubic feet per ton. The calculation incorporates historical assay data from surface and underground workings and 21 diamond drill holes completed by the Company in this area alone. The resource is classified as drill indicated:
The 680 vertical foot section from the base of the resource calculation to the known ore zones on the 1500 Level are untested. Should the calculated resource of 138 ounces per vertical foot remain consistent to depth an additional 93,840 ounces may be indicated below within this zone. Before proceeding with down dip testing below the resource zone or additional fill in drilling the current plan remains to test for near surface mineralization in the area of the Waoming Fault, 1800 feet grid east of the BC Shaft. (News Release 99-14). Management believes that an opportunity exists for an open pit mine (News Release 99-01) together with a high grade underground operation such as the BC Vein. Drilling to resume immediately on the BC Vein.
